Samantha Cawthorn’s passion for illustration followed a natural progression from hobby-drawing to career-drawing, challenging herself creatively, persevering and extending her limits...“nothing worth having ever comes easy”. Wise words!
Samantha's always been fascinated by a colour's ability to manipulate a person's mood and emotions, sparking a simple love for palettes that pop. The physical creating resides at her St. Albans home, “however, the planning and daydreaming isn’t limited to this location”.
Deriving a lot of influence from post modern art, Samantha combines a geometrical style from Cubism with contemporary art techniques to create stunning pieces for the home. Astoundingly striking, these designs have character and flair. “Each design is created with a specific personality in mind. This influences the pose and colour palette of each woman so that she can visually showcase her unique personality”.
